At KOOP, the atmosphere and design of the salon is an important point of focus in fostering a welcoming, calming environment that promotes well-being and comfort. This will affect not only the well-being of the guest but of the stylist and studio team. Consideration of the microenvironment around each styling unit is extremely important, especially in a salon space where the smell of products and the noise of hairdryers and conversations from other sections of the salon can be disrupted or create barriers between the stylist and guest.
The studio is designed to be adaptable and flexible, using lightweight, permeable elements to separate and divide up spaces. These lightweight structures allow daylight to penetrate through the plan and the spaces to flow seamlessly into each other, while still giving a sense of privacy and enclosure. Against the backdrop of raw concrete and natural materials, the space is brought to life by an oasis of plants and greenery. The ever-changing shades and growing plants give a sense of evolving life and impermanence as the space changes with every visit.
Natural beauty and sustainability are at the core of our values at KOOP. We believe that enhancing each individual’s unique and natural beauty contributes to the longevity and timelessness of the style and is, therefore, the most sustainable approach to hairstyling.
Because we care what is best for our clients, our team and our environment, we are constantly striving to source what we believe are the most natural and environmentally friendly products available, both in terms of how they are packaged and their ingredients. We work with partners who embody these same core values of sustainability to continually develop and enhance every aspect of how we offer our service.
By working with hair in a sustainable way we aim to encourage people to respect and care for themselves, for nature and for the environment.
